Draft: this page is under final review and may change before Skill Forge officially launches. Questions: support@webbox.app
Short version: SkillForge is a marketplace where you install MCP skills for Claude Code. We try hard to keep the service useful, honest, and respectful of your data. By signing up, you agree to the rules below — they exist to keep the platform safe for everyone.
SkillForge is a product of Web Box Apps LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company. References to "we," "us," or "SkillForge" in these Terms mean Web Box Apps LLC. References to "you" mean the person or organization holding the SkillForge account.
By creating an account, installing a skill, or making any use of skillforge.webbox.app or the SkillForge Desktop app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
If you're using SkillForge on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
SkillForge is a marketplace and installer for Model Context Protocol (MCP) skills that extend Claude Code. Skills come in two flavors:
SkillForge is not Claude. Your Claude Pro/Max subscription is a separate agreement with Anthropic. SkillForge extends what your Claude Code installation can do; it doesn't replace or impersonate it.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. One human, one account; please don't share login credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access, email support@webbox.app and we'll help you regain control.
You must be at least 16 years old to use SkillForge. If you're between 16 and 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
SkillForge offers Free, Personal, Pro, and (later) Team tiers. Pricing is shown on the Pricing page. Paid subscriptions:
Prices may change. If we change the price of a tier you're on, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price takes effect, giving you time to cancel or switch tiers.
You agree to use SkillForge responsibly. Specifically, you agree NOT to:
We may suspend or terminate your account if we have a reasonable belief you're doing any of the above. If we do, we'll tell you why.
The MCP skills you install often need credentials — an API key for Stripe, an SSH key for a server, a database connection string. For local skills, those credentials live on your machine and never leave it, except when the skill itself makes calls to the third-party service the credential is for. We don't see them.
For hosted connectors, you grant us access (typically via OAuth) to act on your behalf. We store the minimum we need to keep the connection working and you can revoke it from your account dashboard at any time.
You own your data. We provide tools to export and delete it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Skills run with the permissions you give them. A shell skill (like Terminal Pro) can run any command on your machine. A database skill can read or write tables. Review what a skill does before you give it credentials, and use the least-privileged credentials that get the job done.
We provide the marketplace and curate the skills we publish, but skills are software and software has bugs. We disclaim liability for damages caused by skills you install. See Section 11.
SkillForge — the brand, the Desktop app, the website, the publisher tools, the marketplace database — is the intellectual property of Web Box Apps LLC. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for as long as you have an active account.
Individual skills are the intellectual property of their respective authors. Most SkillForge skills are authored by Web Box Apps LLC; some are authored by third parties and labeled accordingly. Each skill carries its own license — typically Proprietary but used at no separate charge as part of your SkillForge subscription. The license terms displayed in the catalog and in the skill's manifest govern your use of that skill.
You retain ownership of any content you create, configurations you set, or data you process using SkillForge. We don't claim ownership of your stuff.
SkillForge integrates with many third-party services (Anthropic Claude, Stripe, Slack, GitHub, Notion, Linear, HubSpot, Google, Microsoft, and others). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We're not responsible for outages, changes, or policy decisions made by third parties. If a third-party service breaks a skill, we'll do our best to update the skill, but we can't promise a fix on any specific timeline.
SkillForge is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat. We don't promise that any specific skill will work in any specific environment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations of liability. If you live in one of those, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by your local law.
You agree to defend and hold us harmless against claims arising from your use of SkillForge in violation of these Terms — for example, claims arising from your misuse of a third-party service through a skill, or unauthorized access you attempted using a skill.
You can close your account at any time from your account dashboard or by emailing support@webbox.app. We'll cancel any active subscription at the end of the current billing period (or earlier if you ask).
We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms or if continued service would expose us to legal risk. We'll give you reasonable notice when possible.
On termination: your access to paid features ends, your data is retained per the schedule in our Privacy Policy, and the sections of these Terms that should logically survive (intellectual property, liability, governing law, etc.) continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll email you and post a notice on the site at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't accept, please close your account before the effective date.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms is the state or federal courts located in New Mexico. Both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing any formal claim, please email support@webbox.app with the details — most issues we can resolve without lawyers, and we'd rather do that.
